Eurasia Studies Group
Objectives
The Eurasia Studies Group has been established in order to investigate the political, security, economic and cultural structures in the Eurasian region. This group evaluates the opportunities and challenges facing the Islamic Republic of Iran in this geographical area, which comprises four areas that are based on the priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

They include a study of opportunities and the potential for economic cooperation among the Islamic Republic of Iran and the five Central Asian nations; three Caucasian countries; and Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The group also researches the Caspian Sea - the status of its legal regime, the partnership of littoral states, and security issues. Another area of study relates to the role and position of Russia in the international system and at the regional level, as well as Moscow's interaction with Tehran.


Programs and Topics :

1. The potential for economic cooperation between the former Soviet European republics and the Islamic Republic of Iran
This research topic examines the possibilities for expanded cooperation between the former Soviet European republics and the Islamic Republic of Iran, considering the economic and technological capabilities of the former republics such as Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic republics.
2. Russia's concerns in the north and south Caucasus: consequences and opportunities for the Islamic Republic of Iran
3. Economy as a foreign policy ideology: The study of the role of economic factors in the formulation of Russia's foreign policy and their effects on the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
4. Russia after Putin
Because Putin's presidency will end in the near future, this project seeks to appraise Russia's conditions during Putin's 8-year presidency . This study also contemplates possible scenarios for the country's future at the domestic, regional and international levels.
5. Suggestions for the expansion of Iran's relations with Russia
